GABBY ZIMMERMAN

For this student project, I redesigned the cover of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World to reflect the novel's themes of dystopia, control, drug abuse, and individuality in a modern context. The first design (left) features a clenched fist as pills spill out, representing the choice of rebellion vs. complacency and resistance vs. oppression in a controlled society. The second design (right) shows a silhouette of an arm inside a pill. Are they escaping, or are they drowning? This is left open to audience interpretation. The final iteration was displayed at the Westchester Public Library throughout December and January 2025.
